The Buzzard Brewing Experience presented at Misty Meadows Country Estate is the perfect opportunity for any beer enthusiast to come and relax at the serene foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains, catch a bit of fresh country air and enjoy participating in brewing our local country ale. Any beer lover, micro-brewer and would-like-to-be-brewer would greatly benefit from the experience of the Master Brewer.

The package includes accommodation at the old farm house from Thursday night (the brew starts at 06:30 Friday morning) to Saturday morning with dinner and breakfast. The brew – from mashing the malt (and making hot scotty!!) to the start of fermentation will keep you busy up to about 14:00 on Friday after which you are free to take a cycle or canoe around the dam, do a bit of fishing or hike a little way to an under-a-tree, waterside picnic or braai and soak up the peace!

The evening will feature live music with our resident musician followed by a braai or meal of your choice from our country kitchen. One 375 ml Buzzard Country Ale on tap is included with your meal.

We are situated 8km from the George Airport and will gladly pick you up should you require transport from the airport to the farm.
